I know this week is about you, C. But I have to be honest, it is hard to completely overlook your relationship with your brother.
What can I say? You two share a special bond. And it is all about legos, fighting, building, destroying, mythbusting…
Yes. Truth be told, there is a lot of fart talk, fart noises, and fart related laughter that happens between the two of you.
And I don’t get it. And I normally send “potty talking” boys up to their rooms where they can be ridiculous without driving me batty.
So most of the time, in an effort to remain with the rest of us, you keep all of that to a minimum. And I am grateful for that.
Now…what happens when Mommy isn’t here and Daddy is home….well, that’s another story, but I digress…
I think my favorite bond that the two of you share right now is your love of the TV program, “Mythbusters”. Oh. My. Word. You two love this show.
But what you love even more is creating your own world of myths to bust. The myths normally don’t make a whole lot of logical sense, but you both work hard to bust them.
This happened the other day during our science class. We made salt dough in order to make models of the planet, Mercury.
You loved this activity more than any other child in this house. You played with your salt dough for over 30 minutes in the kitchen by your self. You were chatting and cutting and creating.
At one point, you looked up and very seriously told me, “Mom, don’t try this at home.” Of course I laughed because we were at home.
I did think to myself that I hope you REMEMBER that warning when you watch “Mythbusters” on TV!!!
Your brother, D, found his way back to you in the kitchen and I made another 2 batches of salt dough for everyone. The two of you spent another 30 minutes busting myths in a world of your own…
I love you my little, C. And I love to watch you with your brother.
