Funny Latin?

Today we learned some Latin names for our family roles.

Mater - Mother
Pater - Father
Frater - Brother
Soror - Sister

We were discussing the terms and practicing their use at lunch when T busts out with "I can say, 'That's my Frat', because Frat would be Bro."

*giggle

Cute concept.  I don't think any of use will forget how to say "brother" in Latin.

Ha ha! The big laugh in our house was over the pronunciation of the Latin for "boy" and "girl" (mostly "boy") - "puer" and "puella" ... pronounced "poo-air" and "poo-ella"!
