My budding photographers…

My girls LOVE to take pictures, so we decided to let them have control of our “old” digital camera while on our trip.

K (age 8), in particular, is enjoying photography and it was a lot of fun for me to look at what they captured.  She definitely is trying to develop the eye of a photographer.

But, yes, we did get the random kid shots…

I am sure her self-portrait skill will improve sometime in her teenage years, but it is a start!

Random shot of Dad’s feet…

And I think T took this one of her own shoe…

K did some experimenting with the camera angle, as I am sure she has seen her mommy do…

She played with the way she looked at things…

And I actually really liked her attempts at “still life” objects…

I remember when she took this one and I thought she was being silly, but I like the dark and light playing on one another.  Wish those women weren’t there…but I guess if your mom is rushing you along…sigh….

She attempted some landscape shots in the Palace Gardens…

And I personally found her view here pretty interesting.  I  love the way she decided to “see” through her lens and take a shot from a different perspective.

T captured an interesting window shot…

but I think this one that K took was one of my favorites.  Maybe it is the light and dark.  Maybe the stillness of it.  Either way, I was attracted to this one.

I think I have a budding photographer on my hands.  She wants to carry the Photography project in 4H next year and I am sure it’ll be a great choice.

Of course, before I know it, she’ll be aiming for her own DSLR…LOL!  But in the meantime, she is getting some interesting shots with an old point and shoot.

Too bad her mommy doesn’t have any mad editing skills on photoshop….I could probably do something with some of these for her.
