AGREED 100%!!!! I love that our tv cabinet is only open on family movie night, simply for the use of the dvd player.However...the computer does allow us to watch quite a bit. Still, not nearly the amount we used to watch.
Ditto from our house! We just crossed one year without it, this week, and I had a reminder in my calendar to reassess our decision. Haha, nothing TO assess. We don't miss it at all! Can't believe how much we were paying for cable... Though I must admit I do still find The History Channel stuff on Netflix sometimes. (not something you're tempted by I know!). :)
Your title for this post made me VERY curious, and then I had to laugh when I clicked over and read it. So funny! So true! :)We've been TV-less for...hmmm...I don't know how many years now. I LOVE it. We do let the boys watch DVDs, but that's so much easier to limit than a TV.Enjoy your TV-free summer! :)
Nothing to miss if you ask me, not that you did but....
I agree. I stopped watching TV in March, when I got a new job and my hours were incompatible with the very few shows I watched. And I found that I lost interest in them very quickly. We don't have cable either, so the kids watch PBS and that's about it. I keep hoping maybe the TV will blow up all together and I can replace the TV stand with bookshelves.
