T (age 6) had some popcorn kernels inside an inflated balloon. She wanted to see the balloon explode and see how far the kernels would fly. Eric was trying to pop the balloon with a sharp stick when T said,
"Your idea isn't working. I was right. We should have used a chainsaw."

T asked for chocolate milk and daddy forgot to get it for her...
T: You always forget everything, Dad.
Dad: I am sorry T.
T: That's why God made Mommy. She doesn't forget.

C (almost 2) calls the movie, "Cars"....Carseats.

Mom: We should get the movie, "Wizard of Oz." You guys would probably enjoy it now.
K (age 8): We saw the play.
Mom: I know. You know the plot. And you probably don't remember a whole lot, but we read the book together over a year ago.
K: I remember.
Mom: The book is WAY different from the movie. I had never read the book. Boy is it different. It has a lot of characters that aren't in the movie.
K: Yeah. And does Alice fall down the rabbit hole in the book? Uh...no.
Mom: (laughing) Wrong book, sweetie. That's not the Wizard of Oz.
K: Oh yeah.

Oh T, she makes me laugh! We listened to Wizard of Oz on the way to the beach, and just watched it last night. Still a lot scary for Audrey, but she made it through...knowing what was going to happen. There were a TON of changes from the book, which I had never read prior to our listening.
