Tiny Talk Tuesday

Tiny Talk Tuesday helps parents focus on one of the many joys of parenting - the funny things that our little ones (and sometimes big ones) have to say.

Join in the fun and record the Tiny Talk overheard in your house! Publish a post on your blog and link us to the laughs. Then be sure to link to the blog carnival on this post so more bloggers can join in the fun.

The guidelines can be found here if you need them.

While studying Guatemala and discussing physical features...

T (age 6): (randomly announces) I don't know how many babies I am going to have.

Mom: Well, most 6 year olds don't. You'll figure those things out when you are older and married.

T: Yeah, but I wonder if there are eggs in my belly right now. Is there one or two?

Mom: Well, all women's bodies have eggs to make babies. In fact, you have millions of eggs in your body.

T: (eyes VERY wide) You mean I am going to have thousands of babies???

Mom: No. Not all of the eggs will become babies.

T: What happens to them?

Uh........sigh......I knew body changes was coming in health, but I didn't think it would be during a Guatemala discussion with all siblings present.

*Note: I simply told her that your body gets rid of the ones that don't become babies. That seemed to satisfy her for now, but I think a discussion is coming.

: )

This reminds me of the first time I got my period at age 14. I remember figuring out that if the egg my body was currently getting rid of had become a baby, it's birthday would have been in November. I was quite sad about that, because I think I felt like it was part baby! Many periods later, I've gotten over that.

On another note, I can't seem to view the other Tiny Talk submissions.
