Her friend doesn't have kids, so it was a quiet weekend of adult conversation. The home was beautifully decorated and clutter free.
She was able to relax and enjoy some time away.
Then she came home and was suddenly overwhelmed by the piles of stuff all over her house that she never finds time to deal with.
Feeling a bit blue, she came on over here on Saturday so we could work on some school stuff and chat. She was in my house less than 5 minutes when she let me know that, "I am already feeling better."
Uh...I guess she saw all of my piles, projects, and general mess.
So come on by if you feel overwhelmed. It won't be a like a spa weekend, but you will go home feeling normal, or even better than normal!

ha! I can so relate. I had a friend over a few months ago and when she got to our house she said, "Oh, well this makes me feel much better about my house!"
A short while later someone else stopped by to pick up an old play slide we were giving away. She too said, "Crystal, I gotta tell you... seeing your house makes me feel better about mine."
ummmm..... thanks? I guess.
Kind of like how watching "Hoarders" makes me feel normal.
How about posting pictures instead!?! ;-D
Sounds like a great new blog post idea. "I'll show my mess if you show your's and then we'll all feel better ... maybe!"
I LOVE to be that kind of encouragement to others!! Way to go, girl!!!
What a great friend you are ;-) I love going to other moms houses to realize that okay.. maybe I am not doing to bad :-P
Hahaha; and such good humored children lately.
Piles, I've got piles. I usually blame it on the papers the school sends home with the kids (x3), but obviously that isn't the source.
And now, I should get off the computer and go tackle some of those piles. The laundry pile looks like it will need some physical tackling today.
Oh, so funny! I can definitely relate to this, too! Aren't you glad you could help your friend feel so much better?? :)
