There are a few I love.
And then there are
K, age 8. (in a few weeks)
T, age 6
D, age 3
C, age 1
Now for a few favorites of my three year old character...I HAVE to find something to do with this guy and his faces!
I mean, what on earth is he trying to "sell" me here?
Is he telling me the fish was "this big"?
OH MY!
And this one? THIS is the "real" little guy when he just wants to go play and mommy keeps insisting that he must look at the camera!
And I love the IDEA of the following shots, but next time I am taking Daddy for help!
"K, you need to stand up, please"
"D, stop jumping, honey."
"UP HERE, C" (as I make all sorts of whooping noises)
"K, you have to get off of C."
"Oh, just sit down!"
"D! D! Look here!"
"Get closer"
"Oh jeez. Can someone get that stick from C?"
"Close...look here, D"
"Close again...look UP AT THE CAMERA, D!"
"Oh. Almost. T, I NEED you to SMILE. DONT STOP SMILING PLEASE!"
"I think this might be the best yet!"
"This is a close one too!"
"And now mommy's attempts are over..."
Now...who wants to attempt to take my WHOLE family for me?

ME!!! You did a great job, capturing them. Love the one's of D.
They are great, Mary!! :)
oo I think they are wonderful!! Good job :-)
Great job, Mary! If you'd like, I'd be glad to have an excuse to come visit you all with my family if you'd ever want me to do your family portraits.

I love them!!!!!!
My favorite group shot is the one where you are asking D to stop jumping!!!!!!
:)
The individual shot of T with her arm on the bridge is GORGEOUS! That's my favorite one of the batch!!
So sweet and so cute!
I just found your blog. I hit that follower button. So, now I can enjoy peaking in. :)
Blessings.
I think you did a great job!
WOW! You did an awesome job!! They look like a professional could've done them- BTW what type of camera do you use? I totally want to get into photography, but I feel like my photos with my little digital Nikkon NEVER come out how I want!! Hoping to get a DSLR by next year though!
Anytime you guys are down in the Knoxville area, I'd love the challenge of getting that many faces all together and smiling. I'd give you a free session in exchange for the practice, LOL.
How funny! I know the feeling though...I was trying to get all my boys to cooperate for my header photo for October, and it was - ahem - difficult, to say the least. I know you can relate. I finally gave up on trying to get them to look at the camera, and I told them to look at each other. I knew I was beaten. :)
But these pictures of your kids are great!! You did an excellent job!
The kids portraits are great! You did a fantastic job! Of course my heart melted at T's pic.
Coming from someone who helped her husband photograph for almost 30 years...kids are HARD and never try to take their pic alone. I guess you already know that, LOL. You did great!!!
We have to try that this weekend...I'm not even willing to attempt the group shot yet. LOL
Those are great Mary! I love them all even the " I would rather play with the stick or jump ones"' They are real and the life you live every day! You are so good at capturing the everyday and special moments. Your photography is really growing. Are you still loving your camera? I feel attached to mine! LOL.
We seriously need to live down the street instead of 7 hours a aprt because I would shoot your entire clan in a heartbeat. It thrills me to shoot kids but especially with their parents. I am trying to do a bunch of free shoots this fall headign into Christmas so I can build my portfolio and hopefully next year be closer to going out and doing this for real!
I really you hope you find someone who can take your family shot, I knw how hard it is to always be takign the pictures and then you want a great one and finding someone to do it can be hard.
